Description
The No King But King Jesus 1776 Revolutionary Spirit of Liberty Christian Shirt calls to mind 2 Corinthians 3:17, Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Our prayer is that this shirt will preach truth to the lost, and remind Christians who our KING always is, and where our Spiritual liberty flows from. Psalm 119:45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.
On April 18, 1775 Rev. Jonas Clarke, a Lexington pastor and militia leader, had guests John Adams and John Hancock at his home. That same night Paul Revere arrived to warn them of the approaching Redcoats. The next morning British Major Pitcairn shouted to an assembled regiment of Minutemen; “Disperse, ye villains, lay down your arms in the name of George the Sovereign King of England.” The immediate response of Rev. Jonas Clarke or one of his company was: “We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus.”
Thank God we have been able to publish the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, here and abroad, for more than two hundred years. No matter who is in the Government, Jesus Christ is the KING of kings and the LORD of lords. For ever and ever. Amen.
